After some consideration I decided to just try the basic jack o lantern face for my pumpkin. Boy did I underestimate the level of cutting skill it takes to make such a pumpkin. Lets just say I am very lucky to still have all 10 of my fingers.
I am guessing I probably made some rookie mistakes in cutting my pumpkin but what was I to do? I couldn’t wait any longer and I had no one to mentor me in the art of pumpkin cutting. My internet research on pumpkin carving looked like it would suffice.
I did look up ways on the internet to store the edible parts of the pumpkin so that I can use it for future recipes. I still haven't seen any cans of pumpkin in any stores near me so I'll have to use the little pumpkin insides I was able to save during this project.
I am still looking for some delicious recipes using the pumpkin I have preserved and am trying to decide what to do with the pumpkin seeds.
